The widespread upsurge in the number of people getting their hands on mobile phones that are capable of accessing the internet has been marked in recent times.

This increase has not only led to lots more people being able to access things such as email on the go, but they can also peruse websites.

It is for this reason that managing director at BrandVoice Marketing Group Trevor Bradford suggests that companies must now look to implement an optimised mobile site.

Indeed, recent research conducted by InSites found that up to 68 per cent of consumers now go online while on shopping trips to compare the prices of items in different stores.

"Simply put, with the advent of smartphones and now iPad style tablets, mobile devices are the convergent device. At the very least a business should offer a mobile optimised version of their website," the expert was quoted as saying.
