New Tech Releases Coming in 2026: What to Expect from Samsung, Apple, Google & Gaming

2025 was a great year for tech. We got the Nintendo Switch 2, the Samsung Galaxy S26, and the iPhone 17. But what’s releasing in 2026?
If you’re wondering whether to upgrade now, wait for the new launches, or sell while prices are still decent, this guide breaks it all down.
What Smartphones Are Launching in 2026?
- Apple iPhones: New ones (~iPhone 18) should debut in September 2026. If you’re due an upgrade, it might be time to start thinking about your next phone, since when the iPhone 18 releases, the prices you’ll get for selling older models may decrease. Using a sell my iPhone service is a simple way to turn your old device into money you can actually use.
- Samsung Galaxy: The Galaxy S25 was released in late January last year, so fans are wondering when the latest instalment is due. Experts are saying the S26 will be announced in late February, with the devices expected to ship in early March. If you grabbed a recent Samsung, it’ll last you a good while, but if your phone is two+ years old, now’s a smart time to sell or trade-in before it dips further.
- Google Pixel: A Pixel 10a should arrive around spring 2026, essentially replacing the Pixel 9a. The Pixel 11 family will likely follow in the autumn. If you have a Pixel 9 or 9a, think about selling soon after the 10a announcement for the best deal, or hold off buying until you see what the 10a offers.
Another rumour for 2026 is the growth of foldables, through Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold phones. For example the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is already out in Asia, and is set to enter the US early in the year. No word for the UK yet, but it’s worth staying up to date so you can be first to get your hands on it.

Tablets
Tablets often stay in our lives longer than phones. They’re the device we stream on, travel with, and sometimes forget about entirely.
- Apple iPads: Current rumours suggest Apple will release its 12th generation of iPad this year, with the same A19 chip as the iPhone 17. What this will include, an Air, a Pro, or a Mini, is difficult to say. We can expect better screens and improved performance, with a release likely in the spring.
- Samsung tablets: Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S series usually updates annually (Tab S9 in 2023, S10 in ’24, etc.), so expect something like a Tab S11 in 2026. No big surprises here, current Tab S models will still work great, and older ones will likely drop in price when the new one appears.
Choosing a sell my iPad or sell my tablet service can turn an underused device into something far more useful: extra cash towards your next upgrade.
Smartwatches
- Apple Watch: If you like having the latest tech, you might wait for the rumored redesign (Series 12) expected in late 2026. Apple put out a big refresh of their watches in 2025, introducing new options for their budget, standard, and advanced versions.

MacBooks
- MacBook Pro: If you use a Mac for heavy tasks, waiting for M5 Pro (2026) could be worthwhile. The current 2024 M4 Pros are powerful, but they’ll be outdoneby M5.
- MacBook Air: The Air is expected to get its M5 update by mid-2026. Apple often announces these in spring events, so if you’re thinking of selling an older Mac, time it around then to get the most cash.
Gaming Consoles
This year, the focus for consoles isn’t on new device releases, but new games. Since the Nintendo Switch 2 launched last year, we can expect games like Mario Tennis and Dragon Quest 7 coming to the console.
In a similar effort, the PS5 and Xbox will get games including Marvel’s Wolverine, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and Dune: Awakening, which many fans are looking forward to.
If yours is spending more time switched off than on, a sell my console service can help you clear space, stay clutter-free, and fund whatever comes next.
