New Tech Releases Coming in 2026: What to Expect from Samsung, Apple, Google & Gaming

2025 was a great year for tech. We got the Nintendo Switch 2, the Samsung Galaxy S26, and the iPhone 17. But what’s releasing in 2026?

What Smartphones Are Launching in 2026?

  • Apple iPhones: New ones (~iPhone 18) should debut in September 2026. If you’re due an upgrade, it might be time to start thinking about your next phone, since when the iPhone 18 releases, the prices you’ll get for selling older models may decrease.   • Samsung Galaxy: The Galaxy S25 was released in late January last year, so fans are wondering when the latest instalment is due. Tablets

Tablets often stay in our lives longer than phones. They’re the device we stream on, travel with, and sometimes forget about entirely.

  • Apple iPads: Current rumours suggest Apple will release its 12th generation of iPad this year, with the same A19 chip as the iPhone 17. What this will include, an Air, a Pro, or a Mini, is difficult to say. We can expect better screens and improved performance, with a release likely in the spring. 
  • Samsung tablets: Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S series usually updates annually (Tab S9 in 2023, S10 in ’24, etc.), so expect something like a Tab S11 in 2026. No big surprises here, current Tab S models will still work great, and older ones will likely drop in price when the new one appears.
