Collaboration is key and you will possess the skills and attitude to listen to and influence your teammates, as well as colleagues, stakeholders, and key executives, through your use of data and logic.

What does success in the first year look like?

  • Within 3 months, you would be embedded within the business, developed the product roadmap for the next 12 months, and taken ownership of the planned Mazuma website rebuild.
  • Within 9 months, successfully rolled out the new Mazuma web application and transitioned customers onto it.
  • Within 12 months, you would be leading the strategic direction of the entire Mazuma product line.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to develop a long-term product vision and roadmap, and translate this into executable deliverables and milestones.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including product management and solution architecture experience.
  • Strong technical background, with the ability to assess the suitability of technologies and to co-ordinate technical teams.
  • Commercially and customer-focused
  • Very strong communication skills – verbal, written, visual.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of a business – engineering, design, marketing, sales or customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to find solutions to hard problems, being able to assess risks, and to lay out your proposals in a well-structured and data-informed narrative.
  • Proven ability to engage with tech teams, outsource companies, commercial functions and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
  • Excellent organisational and collaboration skills, particularly the ability to handle multiple priorities, stakeholders and workstreams.
