Google Nexus 5 To Arrive Today

The highly-anticipated Google Nexus 5 mobile phone is expected to arrive today after months of speculation.

It appears that the new device could come hand-in-hand with the Android 4.4 KitKat Android operating system update.

The announcement came from Artem Russakovskii from Android Police, who revealed on his Google+ page that the Nexus 5 would hit the market today.

He explained that a number of "previously reliable sources" had confirmed the news to him, however, he was still unsure as to the arrival of the new OS.

The launch could take place between 3pm and 5pm in the UK, so keep your eyes peeled and ears to the ground for any major updates.

Most of the information we know about the specs of the new Google device came from Canadian network Wind Mobile, which appeared to leak details earlier this week.

The firm described the mobile as "a smart, new phone made to capture the moments that matter".

According to its Facebook page, the Nexus 5 will feature a 4.95-inch screen with a 1920 by 1080p Full HD display and a detailed 445 pixels-per-inch image density.
