Blackberry launches high-end smartphone
Blackberry has produced a luxury mobile phone that is aimed at the highest end of the market.
The smartphone maker teamed up with car manufacturer Porsche to produce the P’9982, the cheapest model of which is priced at £1,450.
The phone is set to be released on November 21st in a special launch event at Harrods in London.
The phone features a stainless-steel frame with a satin finish, with an Italian leather backdoor. A limited-edition ‘crocodile’ handset will be released that replaces the leather with crocodile skin.
The phone also features a 4.2 inch touchscreen, 64 gigabytes of internal memory and an eight megapixel camera.
Blackberry’s senior vice president of design, Alistair Hamilton, said: “The new all-touch P’9982 smartphone combines a unique design from an iconic brand with the power of BlackBerry 10.”
