Samsung has confirmed it is to unveil its latest Galaxy smartphone on August 23rd.
According to the manufacturer, it will be “the ultimate multi-tasking device for those who want to do bigger things with their phone”.
Samsung also describes its new product as a “highly anticipated addition to the Galaxy roster”.
The phone has been “specifically designed for people who move through barriers to do more of what matters to them”.
What this actually means in practical terms is anyone's guess right now, but all roads seem to be pointing towards the launch of the new Galaxy Note 8.
Rumours suggest that the Note 8 will feature a new dual-lens camera and an upgraded S Pen.
In fact, the latter is a prominent feature of a Gif displayed on Samsung's Twitter page alerting followers to the product launch, so it looks like this can be confirmed as fact.
The Note 8 is also set to feature a new display that will cover almost the entire front side of the device.
As ever, though, we won't know for sure until the official launch takes place.
One other thing we do know is that Samsung is setting itself up for renewed competition with Apple.
The rival tech firm is expected to unveil its iPhone 8 in September, so it will be interesting to see what the two smartphone giants will try to tempt us with over the coming months.
