People who trade-in a mobile phone and switch to a new Nokia device will be able to enjoy an X Factor app that is exclusive to the Finnish brand.

Adam, writing the Nokia Conversations blog, says there are a host of features to be accessed via the technology.

“You can catch up on bits from previous episodes, tune into some of the better performers and gawp at some of the worst. This, as it turns out, was one of my favourite bits of the app,” he notes.

Also available is a video archive, backstage gossip, all the latest news from the ITV programme and words from the judges.

There is even the opportunity to share the top features and clips from the app with friends via social networking websites.

With the audition stage of this year’s series now over, the race to find a successor to the likes of Leona Lewis, Joe McElderry and Alexandra Burke will shortly be underway.
