The next Windows Phone 8 update will bring a bunch of new features for owners of mobile phones which carry the software.

According to WPCentral's message board, which a user posted on to announce that they had bought a device off Craigslist which was running the unreleased version of the operating system.

It's thought that the update will arrive at some point later this year and from the snapshots will bring a few points of interest with it. The update will focus strongly on multitasking and making it easier for users to manage apps on their handsets.

There will also be a brand new driving mode which will allow the phone to automatically mute calls and texts when linked up to a bluetooth handset.

The update, also known as GDR3 (General Distribution Release 3), will include a feature which allows users to control screen orientation, as well as personalising alerts for social network notifications and emails.
