mages have been published online which claim to show the notification centre in the unreleased mobile phone operating system Windows Phone 8.1.
The pictures hint at a number of new features which could emerge from the Microsoft-born software.

Posted by, the snapshots show a Notifications Live Tile on the homescreen of a handset which indicates an Apple-style interface may be in development.

It shows a number of Live Tiles have been selected which suggests users may be able to move around multiple apps at any one time and possibly put them in groups.

However, it's not the first time Windows Phone has made the news lately as over the weekend images leaked of the GDR3 update which is likely to be released prior to the Windows Phone 8.1.

News also recently broke that Microsoft has bought Finnish firm Nokia in a billion-dollar deal so it will be interesting to see whether this has any influence on the next few updates that emerge from the Windows Phone builders.
