The trading-in of mobile phones could be set to increase in the second half of 2010 as a number of providers prepare to release new devices.

Omio reports on a tip off it has received, suggesting consumers can expect almost all of the major brands to unveil handsets in the coming months.

It notes the Nokia E5-00, Sony Ericsson W20 and Samsung i5500 are all due out this month, with the BlackBerry Curve 9300 and Nokia N6 set for release in August.

And the new mobile phones will not stop there, as several more models will hit the shelves in the UK by the new year, including the Gold handset by HTC.

"All the major manufacturers are here, with some of their biggest phones to come out in a long time," states the website.

One mobile that was released last month and may be worth recycling an old phone in favour of the iPhone 4 by Apple.
