The first day of Google's conference was fairly scarce of big device announcements, apart from the release of the company's own Android-boosted version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phone.

However, there may be reason to think that another device unveiling could be just around the corner as a tech-guru claims to have seen a white Nexus 4 backstage at the event.

The newly-coloured device is apparently just like the regular Android handset but just in different packaging, according to founder of Android and Me, Taylor Wimberly.

It is expected to arrive on June 10th at the Google Play Store with Android 4.3 and be LTE-enabled.

There have also been indications that it may support OpenGL for Embedded Systems 3.0, which will open up the options for advanced-graphic capabilities.

Although nothing has been announced by the search-engine giant yet, there is still plenty of time.
