Although Android 4.4 KitKat has just launched on some mobile phones, HTC One users in the UK are only just getting their hands on its predecessor – 4.3 Jelly Bean.

It is thought that HTC One users will get the latest update in January, but with many of the company's flagships still with Android 4.2, the update to Jelly Bean should give them something to play around with over the festive period.

Despite reports suggesting that HTC is going through a rough spot, and so intends to concentrate on budget devices in the future, it appears that its flagships will still receive the Google-powered update.

Speaking on the UK Twitter feed, the company announced that it will update the Sense 5.5 UIm which is the same user interface that the HTC One Max has. Android 4.3 will bring its own features, including multiple users, an updated keyboard and camera, and OpenGL:ES 3.0.
