People who opt to trade in a mobile phone over the coming weeks will be in pole position when it comes to being among the first to test out new Nokia technology.

Ian, author of the Nokia Conversations blog, explains the Finnish brand has released a beta version of its Qt software development kit 1.1.

This features a system called Qt Quick, which is designed to allow quicker creation and use of the latest apps.

The result of such technology could be a noticeable boost in the quality of tools developed for Nokia devices and increased ease of use for consumers.

Graphics may also benefit from the upgrade, as Ian notes access to pictures and photographs will be widened.

According to a recent piece by the same author, users of Nokia mobile phones can now enjoy a new and updated Wellness Diary app, which helps people to track their health and fitness.
