Consumers who choose to trade-in a mobile phone and replace it with a Nokia device should enjoy a significantly updated version of YouTube.

Andrey Doronichev, YouTube Mobile product manager and author of the latest Google Mobile Blog, says the new app for the video-sharing website – version 2.1 – provides the "fastest, most intuitive" experience yet.

He notes the tool was rebuilt from the ground up, ensuring tweaks and updates have been made in all areas.

Among the improvements for mobile users is the ability to post comments on videos without having to wait for the clip to finish.

There is also the chance to rotate a Nokia phone and watch as YouTube videos switch to playing on a full screen, while information on files will be more readily available, Mr Doronichev explains.

Ian, author of a recent Nokia Conversations blog post, said the lack of an enhanced version of YouTube was one of customers' biggest gripes with the new C7 model.
