The network that recently added the Toshiba TG01 to its range of smartphones has been praised for one of its latest phone innovations.

Orange unveiled a new facility this week that allows users to collate a number of their social networking accounts in one place – enabling better media sharing, status updating and messaging options.

Paolo Pescatore has since added in a post for the CCS Insight Blog that the carrier may be on to a winner with its Social Life mobile web page, but added consumers should expect similar offerings to emerge from other companies.

He explained that Vodafone was one company that was heavily rumoured to be giving a "massive overhaul" to its Live! option and as such it could be one of the first to make this move.

In conclusion, Mr Pescatore said Social Life would be good news for Orange’s advertising prospects and could "retain subscribers as social networking continues to spread in 2009 and beyond".
