Orange has confirmed the second handset in its planned range of handsets that bring "a 21st-century experience to our 21st century customers," will be the Toshiba TG01.

Earlier this week, the network announced it would endeavour to deliver a host of innovative new products to its portfolio and expected to start the ball rolling with the LG Touchscreen Watch mobile.

The manufacturer explained the Toshiba TG01 was a multimedia-focused device with the widest screen available on the market at this time.

Francois Mathieu, director of devices at Orange UK, explained: "We believe the TG01 is a prime example of manufacturer innovation and is a device that is at the very top of its game."

The Touch-enabled gadget has a 4.2 inch front panel, 1 GHz of processing power and fast access to Orange TV & Video services.

Orange also announced the launch of Europe’s first mini sim cards this week, which it explained would cut down on unnecessary waste.
