The LG Chocolate is set to return, the South Korean manufacturer has announced this week.

Described as the most successful handset the firm has released to this date, it has been announced the device will be revamped and given a relaunch later in the year.

LG advised it will unveil the feature set and specifications of the revised model next month – and promised it will not disappoint fans of the original.

In addition to accolades from Red Dot Design and iF Design, LG Mobile UK head of marketing Jeremy Newing said the phone had previously established itself as “an all-time favourite”.

“We believe LG Chocolate‘s successor will have a tremendous impact on the market, while adding to the growth that [we have] experienced during the first half of this year,” he added.

Last month, the firm announced the LG-GM730 smartphone. The device comes equipped with Windows Mobile 6.1 and the company’s advanced 3D S-Class User Interface.
