Sony has jumped ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to announce that it has two new mobile phones that will be released soon.
Many were expecting the company to wait until the big tech event to make any announcements, but it appears that Sony wanted the limelight all to itself.
One of the devices – the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra – will be aimed at emerging markets with nothing being said about whether the handset will reach the UK. However, it sounds like a fairly smart device with a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 13-megapixel camera on the back.
To look at the device, users may be reminded of the Sony Xperia Z, but the smartphone doesn't bring the same water resistance that it did.
Aimed at a budget-conscious audience, the Xperia E1 brings a 100db speaker, four-inch screen with 480 x 800 resolution, as well as a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage.
