Sony may be developing a new mobile phone in its Xperia line, code-named Odin.

The handset will be the company’s new flagship device, according to a leaked User Agent Profile (UAProf) on Japanese site Blog of Mobile.

Currently, the Xperia T, which is featured in the upcoming James Bond movie Skyfall, is the top Sony offering.

This gadget’s most attractive feature is arguably the thirteen-megapixel camera and photographs look fantastic on the 4.55-inch HD screen.

The smartphone, which is exclusively available with O2, is powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Odin looks set to be released with a version upgrade to Jelly Bean – the latest platform from Google. Only 1.8 per cent of Android devices in circulation currently use this software.

It may also have Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology which allows owners to utilise new high-speed 4G networks.

The phone is likely to released under the model number C6502, C6503 or C6506 in early 2013.
