Those trading in their used phone and looking for a mobile with impressive music features could take a look at the Sony Ericsson W995, it has been suggested.

In an infoSync review the device gets a score of 73 per cent and it is claimed the product gets things right in a few key areas that its main rivals may have missed.

Compared to the Nokia’s Nseries, the W995 proves itself a "capable Walkman” and the analysis stated it outshines most other music phones in its class, while the speakers on both the top and bottom are as "loud and as full of sound" as can be hoped for.

Sony Ericsson is marketing the W995 as the ultimate mobile phone to keep users entertained when they are on the bus, waiting for a train or on their lunch break.

"Since it isn’t a smartphone, Sony Ericsson can keep a clean menu design in a way that Nokia cannot," the reviewer added.

However, it is suggested the 8.1-megapixel camera is "overkill" and the image quality fails to compete with Nokia’s best offerings.
