The Sony Ericsson C903 is one of the latest phones to be added to the Cyber-shot range and one expert has weighed up some of its finer points.

In an article for Tech Radar, Phil Lattimore gave the handset the once over and explained that the new photography-focussed model has a number of attractive features.

Chief among these is its five-megapixel sensor, which combines with facilities such as autofocus and macro mode to help create images that he said were "detailed and accurately colourful".

Although the C903 was noted as unable to compete with the likes of the LG Viewty or the Nokia N86 – which was recently added to Virgin Media’s Unlimited tariff – Mr Lattimore said it was more than sufficient as a mid-range gadget.

He concluded: "The C903 is a comfortable cameraphone for everyday use. It’s not the most sophisticated five-megapixel shooter you can find, but it … does a decent job on its spread of features."
