The Sky Movies app, which is already available on Apple iPhone devices, can now be downloaded onto compatible Android gadgets.

Installation is free through the Google Play store, and even those who are not subscribers to the television service can take advantage of features such as movie trailers and cast information.

Those who do pay the monthly fee can benefit from of a host of useful functions, including the ability to set recordings or reminders for films while on the go, ensuring they never miss out.

Customers might spot blockbusters they would like to see by checking out the Daily Picks, which could include big names like Avengers Assemble or Harry Potter.

There is even a dedicated section for James Bond fans called Sky Movies 007, meaning those who want to get a regular fix of their favourite secret agent won't be disappointed.

The broadcasting giant is increasingly improving and widening its mobile services in line with demand from gadget-loving consumers.
