More information has emerged regarding the follow up to the LG Viewty, according to the Mobile Burn website.

The online news resource reports that on the official blog of the manufacturer’s German operation, images of the upcoming gadget were posted alongside details relating to its technical specifications.

However, although the name of the phone was largely thought to be the Viewty II, the publication notes it was suggested that this may have been changed to the Viewty Smart.

In addition, it is expected the device will run using the South Korean manufacturer’s 3D S-Class user interface and will weigh around 3.2 ounces.

Features predicted to come built in to the phone include geotagging, an eight-megapixel camera, three-inch touchscreen and Wi-Fi connectivity.

"Although the information has been pulled from the site, we can say with some certainly that the information originally posted on the site appears to be valid," the site noted.

Owners of the original 2007 Viewty – which was also known as the KU990 – may wish to consider recycling their used phones to generate cash to purchase the upgrade.
