Keen travellers may have the perfect reason to sell their mobile phones and upgrade to an Android device, after a range of city guides were launched.
DK has confirmed its Top 10 City apps can now be downloaded from the Android Market, with tips and information on a host of destinations.
The apps are already available to users of some other smartphones, but now Android consumers can also benefit from the tools.
Locations such as Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Barcelona and New York can be discovered in depth with the apps, which also include a detailed geo-tagged map.
Designed to be easy to use, the apps could make any trip abroad easier and more informative to modern travellers keen to use a mobile overseas.
Carphone Warehouse recently revealed research that showed 79 per cent of smartphone users will access the web while in a foreign country this year.
