Those who love to jet off around the world and enjoy a holiday on a regular basis may have plenty to gain from selling a mobile and switching to an iPhone.
That is because Travelocity has launched a brand new app designed to help tourists secure hotel rooms at bargain rates.
Its Top Secret Hotels tool scours the market to locate unpublished rates that can be typically 55 per cent cheaper than normal.
Beth Murphy, the firm's vice-president of product marketing, said a huge number of people are now using mobile phones to book last-minute breaks.
"Top Secret Hotels for the iPhone helps these travelers find a great hotel deal, right when they need it," she added.
Those who use the app will find they do not know the name of their hotel until after they have secured it at the cheap rate.
Apple has been in the headlines recently for its launch of the iPad 2, which hits the shelves in 25 countries today (March 25th).
