For those who love nothing more than joining in with the selfie craze, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which is rumoured for release this September, is the smartphone for you!

Insiders have reportedly let slip that the device will come with a 16-megapixel Sony IMX240 camera sensor on the back.

Although Samsung has used a IMX240 camera sensor before, this particular camera also includes optical image stabilization (OIS) and will be able to shoot ultra HD video with 3840 x 2160 resolution at 30 frames per second.

Samsung is not only rumoured to be improving its camera on the back of the Galaxy Note 4. Rumour also has it that the front-facing camera is being updated from 2.1 megapixels to 3.7 megapixels, making images much sharper and of a better quality. Perfect for that selfie!

If this information isn’t enough for the snap happy consumer, rumour has it that the smartphone will also include Side Touch, a capacitive button on the side of the phone to aid in taking photos. This was apparently meant to be used for the Galaxy S5 but was removed before release.

To make its new device even more appealing, it will be much easier to access the camera when the screen is off. Simply tap the screen with two fingers and swipe them apart!

Perhaps the most exciting rumour is that the Galaxy Note 4 will be introducing four new camera modes, as well as previous modes and effects. Three of these will be dedicated to the selfie, which includes: Wide Selfie, Selfie, Selfie Alarm and Create A GIF File. Interestingly enough, the Selfie Alarm is rumoured to make it easier by automatically detecting your face and taking the photo!

There is no doubt about it, if all the above is true, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a smartphone to look out for! But first, let me take a selfie…
