Mobile phone users looking for to trade-in their device and try something a little different may be interested in the Samsung Wave 723.

Flora Graham, taking a closer look at the handset for CNET UK, explains it has a number of attractive and useful features that may benefit owners.

She suggests it is a "perfectly serviceable" touchscreen model, with the display said to be particularly responsive.

Another advantage of the device is its price, with consumers able to get their hands on it for as little as £15 a month on a contract or £199.99 pay-as-you-go.

"The Samsung Wave 723 is a solid, usable touchscreen phone for anyone on a budget," says Ms Graham, adding: "The capacitive touchscreen is responsive, the on-screen keyboard is pleasantly usable, and the few widgets on offer are fun."

Many of Samsung's models benefit from their use of the Android operating system, which recently released its latest update.
