The UK will see its first release of the Samsung Galaxy Young very soon, which will offer several different versions of the budget-friendly mobile phone.
Samsung’s new device is aimed at a younger audience and is expected to appear in various bright colours to appeal to its teen users.
It sports a 3.27-inch screen, 1GHz single-core processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage and a three-megapixel camera.
Although the specifications aren’t groundbreaking, it’s difficult to grumble when the device is being offered at under £90 or free on contracts, which start at £9.50 per month.
The handset was announced at the MWC at the start of the year with the Samsung Galaxy Fame and will face some tough competition at the budget-friendly end of the smartphone market.
If the Korean company wants its latest teen-device to succeed it will have to stand-out among competitors like the Huawei Ascend G330 and Nokia Lumia 520 who have had a bit more time to establish an audience.
