Samsung has gone into production with a super-fast mobile phone memory that will increase performance four-fold.
Flash memory has become a core component of modern smartphones, which are getting increasingly more powerful and adaptable.
The company will be creating 16GB, 32GB and 64GB memory modules for next-generation handsets.
Other devices will benefit too, however, with Samsung stating: "ultra-fast embedded memory for smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices".
Anyone looking to recycle their old mobile will surely want to opt for a dazzlingly fast smartphone with Samsung under the hood. The new memory modules will boost video performance and bolster the multi-tasking capabilities of handsets.
Samsung has also been busy on the handset design front, releasing the Galaxy Beam in the UK at the end of last month.
The new device, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February, comes with a built-in projector, which can be used to display videos, maps and games.
