Samsung has been forced to withdraw its Android 4.3 Jelly Bean download for Galaxy S3 mobile phones in the UK.

The decision has come following a number of complaints about how well the updates works on the British handsets. However, the company has also had trouble with its American models too.

Customers have been waiting a long time for the update but when they were able to download it, the update brought a number of issues.

Some of the most common problems for Samsung Galaxy S3 users are rapid battery drain, sudden freezing or apps not working altogether and alarms failing to go off.

Samsung released an official statement saying: “As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended,” reports SamMobile.

“We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility,” added the company.
