Korean mobile phone company Samsung has been criticised in the past for the cheaper looking cases that it packs its devices into, but this may change in the near future.

Wide popularity of rival handsets like the HTC One with its aluminium body and the criticism may be two reasons why Samsung are now allegedly considering turning to metal for its Galaxy Note 3 handset.

Apparently the firm is "worried" by how well the HTC One was received and how the company managed to raise the stakes with its superior casing.

Now Samsung are planning to combat this with a new casing of its own, according to Sam Mobile sources.

It is predicted that the next flagship device the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would be the handset to model the company's new casing and with a release expected for later this year it probably is a fair assumption.

Sources failed to go into any more detail about what material the firm would use, but with competitors like Apple and HTC opting for aluminium it would be seem to be a favourite.
