Those considering mobile recycling to pay for a new handset have been encouraged to do so by one US-based operator.

Sprint, which runs networks across North America, said it was pleased to be bringing the new Samsung Instinct HD to its line up of models but reminded consumers to do the right thing.

It explained that this would involve making sure used mobile devices are disposed of properly, which it claimed was an important part of its company policy.

The handset itself, which has yet to be launched across the UK, offers a selection of features that the carrier’s senior vice-president of product development Kevin Packingham said made it one to look forward to.

"When Instinct was announced last summer it received tremendous praise from our customers and showcased the power of application integration and a world-class user-interface," he added.

It was recently announced that the Samsung Galaxy would be launched on the O2 network in the UK, joining devices like the Omnia and Tocco Ultra Edition.
