Consumers looking to sell mobiles that are either too old or too complicated may like to heed the recommendations of one expert this week.

In an article posted on the Trusted Reviews website, the pros and cons of the new Samsung Genio were highlighted – with particular attention paid to how simple its user interface is.

The online resource said social networking via Facebook, MySpace and Twitter is just one thing the device focuses on and with a "good battery life" and "plenty of useful apps" it could prove to be ideal for some.

The Samsung Genio does, however, lack a number of facilities that one might expect to find on a modern mobile, but the article concluded: "If you’re on a budget, but are interested in a touchscreen handset, it’s worth checking out."

In another piece, posted this month on Cnet, the model’s lack of 3G and Wi-Fi was highlighted, but its good interface and music player were also praised.

Those recycling mobile phones may also be interested to hear that the phone is available now on Vodafone’s pay-as-you-go packages.
