Samsung has created a pattern of releasing miniature versions of its sizeable flagship mobile phones and, according to new reports, it looks like this trend will continue when the Samsung Galaxy S5 launches.

A handset under the product name SM-G870 appeared on Indian import site Zauba, which looks like it could be a pint-sized version of Samsung's new flagship.

According to Sammobile, the price difference between it and the Samsung Galaxy S5 is similar to that between the Samsung Galaxy S4 and its smaller brother. Although this doesn't mean that it is anywhere near a dead cert, it might be an indication that a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is on the horizon.

However, many tech fans won't have needed a leak of a product codename to tell them that because Samsung has made a rigid habit of releasing pint-size versions of handsets, though the leak does indicate that the smartphone may not be that far away.
