The Samsung Galaxy S3 has picked up another title, as TechRadar has named it the Best in Class Smartphone of 2012.

It has already been awarded Phone of the Year at the T3 Gadget Awards, and received a similar honour from Mobile Choice.

Since release in May, more than 30 million units have been shipped, and the handset has consistently topped the uSwitch mobile tracker, which monitors popularity and sales.

'Designed by nature' features may be what separate this device from others currently available on the market.

Smart Stay technology works with the 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera to monitor the user's eyes and adjust screen brightness for comfort accordingly.

Pop-up Play, which also features on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phablet, allows owners to compose a text message while watching a HD video in the background.

The Android operating system provides access to virtual application store Google Play, which has apps like Facebook and Grand Theft Auto available for download.
