Samsung has officially announced that its latest Galaxy S3 Mini mobile phone will go on sale in the UK from November 8th.

The device is a more compact version of the popular and award-winning Galaxy S3, with a four-inch rather than 4.7-inch display.

Some of the other specifications are lower too, but this should mean a smaller price tag for the smartphone.

This device is pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean 4.1, which means no waiting around for an upgrade to be rolled out.

This newer version of the Google operating system is supposed to provide users with faster and smoother performance than Ice Cream Sandwich.

Buyers will also receive free applications with their device, including The Sims 3, which currently costs £4.34 on Google Play, and Bejeweled 2 (£1.86).

The handset will come with either 8 GB or 16 GB of internal memory, and users will receive 50 GB of free storage for two years through Dropbox.
