Gadget lovers are focusing on the expected release of the Galaxy S4 when it comes to the forthcoming Samsung Unpacked event, but it seems the mobile phone‘s predecessor could also star at the show.

The multi award-winning Galaxy S3 device, which has sold more than 40 million units worldwide, could receive a makeover from the South Korean manufacturer.

Noted technology industry commentator Eldar Murtazin has leaked this alleged information, claiming that a battery boost is in the pipeline for rebooted models.

Increasing the power to 2,400 mAh will mean that users can spend longer watching videos, making calls, browsing the web, playing games and listening to music.

He also suggests that the promised wireless charging kit will finally come to market, allowing users to top up a drained battery more easily.

Buyers might also be able to enjoy a superior multimedia experience thanks to the possibility of a higher-resolution display.
