Samsung has announced its brand new mobile phone – the Galaxy Grand 2 – but it is unclear when the Galaxy Grand Lite will be revealed.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Grand Lite may not be that far away and could be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February next year (2014).

The smartphone comes with a five-inch WVGA screen, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, 2,100mAh battery and a microSD slot to give users a lot more space. It will also have a five-megapixel camera on the back, while a VGA shooter will be on the front.

SamMobile says that the Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite will be available from "somewhere around the fifth week of 2014". This would see the device be announced weeks before the MWC, meaning this could be a likely stage for its reveal.

The source also says that the smartphone will be available in a number of colours; white, "Midnight Black", orange and "Lime Green".
