Some Samsung owners may have to wait a little longer to see Android 4.2.2 on their mobile phones as further delays are reported.

People who have Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 will have to wait longer to catch up with people who have the Galaxy S4, according to SamMobile.

Although the website tweeted the update, it was unable to establish where it had received this insider know-how from.

It did however indicate that the TouchWiz interface was the cause of the delay. The UI update was expected to arrive this month and Samsung has left its customers waiting, although the firm itself never gave a specific date for release.

This isn't the first time the South Korean company has left people waiting. The release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 was heavily delayed because of "unprecedented" demand for the handset, which caused UK stocks to run low.
