Samsung officially unveiled its Youm flexible OLED mobile phone screen at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013.

There has been much speculation regarding the futuristic displays, with some industry experts forecasting their inclusion in the Galaxy S4 handset design.

However, with rumours indicating that the next-generation phone will be launched at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in February, it seems unlikely that this new technology will feature.

Samsung's Stephen Woo and Brian Berkeley took to the stage to demonstrate Youm, which is made of a virtually unbreakable, flexible plastic.

An OLED film means that users should still be able to enjoy apps, movies, photographs and web pages in high-quality resolution.
