The first mobile phone to be released since the Google-Motorola partnership may have emerged online.

Leaked images show a handset that confirms certain aspects that have been rumoured about the Motorola X, including an AT&T logo, which means the firm is expected to be the first carriers.

Another photo shows the model number but there was another code floating around the web earlier this week so nothing is confirmed and the pictures seem to show the handset in a case, maybe to hide what it really looks like.

The leaked photos earlier this week also reported that the device sported a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, which would run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, so nothing surprising there.

However, this did send tech fans into a flurry that this was the highly-anticipated Motorola X device.

Customers will have to wait to see whether or not this specific prototype is the rumoured device, but more information will surely arise after the Google I/O event that starts on May 15th.
