The release of the Xperia Z sparked Sony into releasing numerous tablets and mobile phones and the Xperia Z i1 is the latest.
Not satisfied with just releasing the Xperia Z Ultra, the company is rumoured to have another Xperia device up its sleeve.
Earlier this year, suggestions of a Honami smartphone emerged around the same time as the Togari, which we now know to be the Xperia ZU. Pictures of the alleged Honami handset surfaced last week, which indicated that the device could sport a 20-megapixel camera.
More images later emerged that seemed to confirm the original speculations, according to the Just Another Mobile Phone Blog. It seemed to indicate that the Xperia i1 would be Sony's offering to the camera-smartphone market to compete with the likes of the Nokia Lumia 1020.
Although specifications have been rumoured, the company has an event scheduled for July 4th so it's unlikely we'll hear any confirmations until then.
