Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) could be preparing to sell mobile phones and switch to a tariff with Orange, after the network upgraded its offering to businesses.

The updated Business Sense programme will help small firms make the most of the mobile technology available to them.

Orange said its scheme makes it easier than ever to sign up for new handsets and has published five simple steps to follow.

Firstly, businesses must decide how many minutes they want, then on the number of people that will have access to them.

Other factors to consider are whether calls should be landline communications or Orange calls, what the best inclusive extra for their company is and finally how their devices will be customised.

“We know our customers want a simple plan which gives them the flexibility to adapt their tariff with their changing business needs, such as when they employ a new member of staff,” said Martin Lyne, SME marketing director at Orange.

Last month, Orange announced a host of new mobile broadband deals for its customers.
