Sky Go has already launched on Nokia Lumia mobile phones in Italy but very little was said about whether the feature would roll-out elsewhere.

However, Nokia has officially confirmed that the on-demand app from Sky Italia will be rolling out by mid-December. But what is of interest to UK users is that the Finnish firm revealed that it is talking to other regional Sky teams to take the app to other markets.

"We are working closely with the Sky team in several other countries to ensure the app will be available to Lumia consumers around the world," the company wrote in a statement to the media.

Although this isn't a steadfast guarantee, it's good to know that it is something that Nokia are pushing for.

However, it took Sky Go more than a year to arrive on Android tablets after it first appeared on smartphones, so Windows Phone users may have to wait some time.
