Mobile manufacturer Nokia has announced the method behind the naming of its new handsets and could be of interest to consumers considering trading in an old mobile phone.

Nokia has been making use of the newer naming conventions for the past few months for handsets such as the X6 and the recently announced C5.

Four ranges of devices – the C, X, E and N Series – will be available for customers and each will have its own area of special focus.

The mobile manufacturer’s flagship range for the best technology available will be in the N Series, entertainment will be covered by the X Series, business and productivity will be the speciality of the E Series and the C range will cover the Nokia core range of products.

A single digit number will follow the letter identifying the phone‘s functionality and therefore pricing, with one being lowest and nine being the highest.
