Nokia has agreed to work with Tim Kring, creator of sci-fi TV show Heroes, to develop content for its new multi-platform Ovi store.

Developers of the software, which launches next month, are working on a unique interactive application with Kring, built around his ideas for “new forms of entertainment”.

Devised under the working title TEVA, the programme will be an “immersive experience”, according to Tero Ojanpera, executive vice-president at Nokia.

“The Ovi store will rely on great content partners,” he said. “Tim Kring is a Hollywood visionary and masterful storyteller.”

Facebook, MySpace and Fox Mobile have all also expressed their support for the service and may allow their applications to be added to the service, which will be available to owners of the Series 40 and S60 handsets.

Heroes, a series about a group of ordinary people with super powers, has run for three seasons since it was first broadcast in 2006.
