The service offered to millions of mobile phone users could be set to improve over the coming months, as Nokia makes the most of newly acquired technology.

It has been confirmed the Finnish brand has taken control of Motally Inc, a mobile analytics company with the ability to optimise the development of telecommunications.

Such an advantage can be enjoyed by using its system that offers increased understanding of how mobile users operate, meaning designs can be tailored to meet their needs.

Consumers could realistically expect the provision of applications on Nokia devices to both increase and improve in the months and years to come.

Such a prospect may be enough to tempt people to trade-in their old mobile and switch to a Nokia handset.

Those who do so are currently arguably spoilt for choice, with the firm releasing the 5250 last week and finalising plans to unveil its latest smartphone, the N8.
