An eye-catching display designed to show off the Nokia Lumia range of mobile phones in London this week drew thousands of visitors.

Nokia Conversations has revealed that a large crowd gathered on the banks of the River Thames to hear the sounds of popular techno artist deadmau5.

He took to the stage for an electronic spectacular that was powered by the new technology from the Finnish brand.

The publication noted that a roar went up when the performer emerged, with a series of flashing images from the Lumia heralding his arrival.

Nokia Conversations even shows an image of the 400ft Millbank Tower by the river's edge lit up by Lumia technology.

Earlier this month, Nokia confirmed the launch of its new Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 devices.

Using its official blog, it suggested that the releases are further evidence of its commitment to the environment and operating in a green way.
