Many people are expecting Nokia to release its next mobile phone at the Finnish firm’s event in New York at the start of September. However, it appears that the Nokia Lumia 1520 has surfaced on the internet ahead of its official debut.

The leak claims to show the upcoming phablet next to the company’s current flagship – the Lumia 1020 – but as with all of these types of images, it’s hard to distinguish whether it’s a real snapshot of a future device or just an elaborate fake.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 is thought to be a Windows Phone 8-toting phablet with a super-sized six-inch display. Although, very little else is known, it is thought that the smartphone will carry a 20-megapixel camera as well as Nokia photo suite.

It’s also been speculated that the device would have a quad-core Snapdragon processor but it seems we’ll have to wait until a more substantial leak or Nokia’s New York event to find out more.
