Although Nokia hasn't even officially launched the Lumia 928 yet the mobile phone has appeared on a billboard.

Over the past few weeks there have been several "image leaks" across the internet but this latest lacks any subtlety.

Although the sources are hard to verify, it seems unclear what motives anyone would have to produce a fake.

The advert markets the handset as "the best low-light smartphone camera" and was sent to MyNokiaBlog by a reader.

It was expected that the Lumia 928 wouldn't be that different from the flagship Lumia 920, but it could be a strategic move by Nokia to show rivals like Samsung and HTC that it has something waiting in the wings that can compete.

On the billboard, which is the company's favourite blue colour, is the Verizon logo which coincides with speculation that the network would be the only one to offer the Lumia 928 in the US.
